(the bride’s mother calls the couple Jecky) September 21, 2013
You can read below my speech I gave for the lovely couple and enjoy the beautiful details from the pictures below. Some are mine and others are from various people.
The five of us all went to High School together. From left it is Laura G, me, Becky, Ronnie and Trevor-it was soooo good to see them and for them to come and celebrate Becky’s big day!
This is it. The big day. Becky & Judd are finally married. It has been my pleasure to be able to watch this couple grow together from near and far and to be able to stand with them today has also been a great honor.
I have known Becky since we both showed up to soccer practice a couple of weeks before 9th grade started. Myself being homeschooled the year before and Becky coming from a small Lutheran school we took the challenge of ‘surviving’ high school together. I will never forget all the prep work that went into attending a simple football game, ditching our dates at dances just so we could be with our friends, (I am very happy you didn’t ditch Judd, Becky) ::pause:: and all the long chats we had at your dining room table. I will forever be thankful for your friendship and all our memories together. Fast forward some years and Becky called to tell me that she met a ‘guy’, a guy that opened her car door for her, a guy that treated her like a Princess (spoiling her with gifts, outings and his undivided attention). I was so excited that she had found you, JUdd. Not just any tall guy but someone who really cherishes and loves my best friend. Not only were the things Becky had shared with me about you were impressive, but all of the times you put yourself through the excruciating weather of Minnesota to spend time with her family! And I knew you were the one and only guy for her when it was discovered that we share the same birthday! I believe you two are a perfect match for one another and will have a blissful marriage!
Please if you’d be so kind and join me in a toast,
Judd & Becky to your lifelong journey together ahead may it be filled with of lots of laughter, love, deep friendship and spontaneous adventure! To Judd & Becky!
*I truly do love these two*
