macy

Is 8 years old and a silky terrier… she is Dania’s dog – We loved having her greet us in the morning and when we came home every night. We have been talking about getting a dog and being with sweet Macy for a weekend just increased that desire for both of us.. :)

Live like you were dying…

“I went sky divin’,
I went rocky mountain climbin’,
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fumanchu.
And I loved deeper,
And I spoke sweeter,
And I gave forgiveness I’ve been denying,
And he said someday I hope you get the chance,
To live like you were dyin’.”

-Tim McGraw

The above song was our inspiration for our trip this passed weekend. To visit Cordie’s parents in St. Louis and enjoy a little in-house rivalry football game. The Broncos did end up losing to the Rams but it was still really fun and we were both glad we got to go see family and friends.

As you can see I will always be a Broncos fan. :)

My father-inlaw’s dad, Grandpa Lee is moving in a few months so we got to go through of his old photos, letters he wrote to his future wife when he was in the war (her wedding dress) and so many vintage nik naks – it was a really nice afternoon.

Cordie’s Birthday is coming up so we celebrated with Cammy’s side of the family at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday night, then had cheesecake at Steve & Dania’s house afterwards.

We are so thankful we were able to see and celebrate with family for a few days and really appreciate the hospitality of the Stilwell’s. (Isn’t their home -below- just beautiful!?)

Salt Floatation

Cordie and I had the opportunity to try this out when we were in Orlando recently for a conference of his. This is what the pod looks like and you enter it by yourself for 90 mins of silence. :)

Below is a great read that we both read before floating… It has some amazing health benefits:

Both of us really did feel the ‘detox’ part as we ended up getting sick from it (or if it was from going from extreme cold weather back to quite warm temperatures) and felt like we were detoxing for several days after the fact.

The area that the spa was in is called “Baldwin Park” and it was a very quant place to walk around… the girl working had a 10 month old puppy chihuahua – his name was Booker and definitely increased our desire to get a puppy for ourselves… hopefully in the spring. :)

Have you tried the sensory deprivation/isolation tanks/salt floats? If so what did you think?

Cordie and I both enjoyed it but if we do try it again will go for a shorter amount of time. ;)
