God Cares…

When you look out into the vast ocean.. what comes to mind?

Lately, what comes to mind is how amazing it is that there are so many unknowns within the depths of the ocean waters… and that every large and tiny thing that we can’t see… God does and he cares immensely about each and every living organism.

No matter what you and I are doing or where we are in life.. he cares. So incredibly much. He cares for your safety. A peace of mind. He cares for your health and well-being. He wants us to find our true identity… passions… He will still love you no matter if you choose him or not…

Do we care about him?

Our Day Outside

El Fin

Surprisingly and Blessed on our last full day in Valencia we were able to go see some of the city during the daytime! We immediately jetted to the Mediterrean Sea to feel the sun on our faces and walk along the boardwalk…

The one below is of the Las Arenas Resort we got to enjoy dinner at one of the evenings after helping with one of the events that WASM had put on for its delegates.

From there we headed to the oldest part of the city to see some of the historic buildings before the sunset… We had read somewhere that there was a church in which scholars believe the ‘holy grail’ was moved too…So for purely entertainment that became our goal along with three of the others we had been working with all week at the Congress. I will have to go back and label all of the buildings below at a later date.

Above is part of the afternoon in which we attempted to find the ‘holy grail’ and decided to take a picture there ‘claiming we found it’. img_4197 img_4194 img_4185 img_4186 img_4187  img_4159 img_4162 img_4164 img_4166 img_4170 img_4176 img_4180 img_4183 img_4154 img_4155

The one thing that seemed so crazy to me about Valencia were all the Palm trees-even though it is a city on the coast I still cannot get my mind around these old old buildings with palm trees right next to them. :) img_4190

The five of us skipped the WASM closing ceremony and met up with our ‘bosses’ for a lovely evening to celebrate the end and enjoy doing nothing but sitting. :) The place we ate at “Sagardi” was sooo good-desperate for protein all of us got some sort of steak and potatoes…ending with a dessert of cheese and walnuts. :) It was fun getting to know everyone-even though they all live in Rochester I personally had never spent ‘real’ time with any of them and of course after working long/late hours we got to know each other quite well and am looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Thank you WASM crew for letting me work along side all of you! :)

Coney Island

The Boardwalk & Hot Dogs

This morning we ventured down to Coney Island to walk along the famous boardwalk and experience a different part of New York. We arrived just as the park was opening which was perfect as it was overcast and not too many people were there.

We wandered around for awhile (the boardwalk is three miles long) people watching, browsing through Luna Park which seemed tempting but as soon as it started to rain we decided to just sit and wait for it to pass… which it never did. So we ate at the well-known Nathan’s Famous Frankfurters enjoying their hot dog, burger, french fries and old-fashioned lemonade after a 30 minute wait-which it may not be organic but you know with a long wait that the food is a little fresher than most places! Cordie thoroughly enjoyed his lunch.

There was a whole wall of dates and details of when Coney Island began and what has happened over the years-as Cordie would say it was very ‘INTERESTING’.
